On September 15, the 22nd China International Industry Fair (hereinafter referred to as the "Industry Fair") was grandly opened in Shanghai. For the first time, Midea Group brought its "Four Musketeers" Kuka, Meiyun Zhishu, Ande Zhilian and Central Air Conditioning to form the largest enterprise booth at this year's Industry Expo. At 9 o'clock in the morning, accompanied by Gu Yanmin, Vice President of Midea Group and Chairman of the Board of Supervisors of KUKA Group and President of Midea Electric, Wang Jinliang, Vice President of Midea Group, and Wang Hui, CEO of KUKA China, and other senior executives, the leaders of the organizers of the CIIF and Chinese and foreign guests visited the booth of Midea Group.

 

  The leaders first visited the sand table model of Midea's Shanghai Global Innovation Park at the front of the booth. With a total investment of more than RMB 6 billion, the innovation park project is located in Qingpu District, Shanghai, and is scheduled to be officially put into use in 2024. The park, with a construction area of about 420,000 square meters, will introduce 8,000 to 10,000 high-end R&D talents from around the world in the future.   At the same time, the park will apply Midea's self-developed smart building management system and intelligent products, and is committed to becoming a world-class benchmark for green smart parks. Gu Yanmin introduced to the leaders that the business of the innovation park will mainly cover smart home, industrial Internet and smart supply chain. In the future, the core technological innovation of Midea Group, including robotics and industrial automation research, artificial intelligence technology application, and intelligent chip research and development, will be born here.

  The leaders of the organizers of the CIIF and the Chinese and foreign guests fully recognized the innovative and leading role played by Midea's Shanghai Global Innovation Park project, and were full of expectations for Midea Group to deepen its layout in the Yangtze River Delta region and help the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta.  

  In fact, Midea has a long layout in Shanghai, Anhui, Jiangsu and other places in the Yangtze River Delta region, especially the manufacturing bases in Wuhu, Wuxi and Suzhou, which have become a model of digital and intelligent upgrading. With the implementation and promotion of a series of layout upgrading measures such as Midea's Shanghai Global Innovation Park, Midea Group, which is committed to empowering the digital and intelligent upgrading of the pan-manufacturing industry, will continue to play a greater role in the integration of the Yangtze River Delta.   In addition, the self-developed products specially designed for China's pan-manufacturing industry, such as the KUKA KR 4 AGILUS robot, which debuted at the fair, also aroused the interest of the guests. They have fully affirmed Midea Group's innovation ability and efforts to empower the upgrading and transformation of China's pan-manufacturing industry.   In addition to KUKA, Midea Group also gathered business units such as Meiyun Zhishu, Ande Zhilian, and Central Air Conditioning during the industry fair to jointly exhibit a variety of industrial digital and intelligent products, technologies and solutions for the upgrading needs of China's pan-manufacturing industry.  

It is worth mentioning that on the eve of the opening of the CIIF, the World Economic Forum selected 10 new factories to join the global lighthouse network dedicated to "lighting the way to the next stage of normal development of the manufacturing industry", and Midea factories were among them, becoming one of the 54 "lighthouse factories" in the world that represent the benchmark of the new manufacturing industry in the future. This also once again proves that Midea Group, which has realized the transformation from an automated factory to an end-to-end interconnected value chain, has mature experience and leading digital and intelligent technology solutions, which have valuable reference value for the pan-manufacturing industry.
